Join me on this incredible odyssey as I explore some of the world’s most renowned surfing destinations.
November: Portugal My adventure begins in Portugal, where the rugged coastlines of Nazaré and Peniche await. Known for its powerful waves, Portugal offers an ideal start to my journey, with its consistent swell and lively surf culture.
December: Hawaii – Oahu As winter descends, I find myself in the birthplace of modern surfing, Oahu, Hawaii. The North Shore’s Pipeline, Waimea Bay, and Sunset Beach beckon with their massive waves, making this a surfing mecca during the big wave season.
January: California I kick off the new year in California, where Malibu’s iconic point break offers perfect waves and a laid-back atmosphere. Soaking up the sun and enjoying the easygoing surf culture that California is famous for.
February: Mexico My journey takes me south of the border to Mexico, where the waves of Sayulita and Puerto Escondido beckon. With its warm waters and vibrant culture, Mexico provides a perfect change of scenery.
March: Sri Lanka Sri Lanka offers a more exotic experience, with its lush landscapes and consistent waves along the southern coast. Weligama and Arugam Bay are just a few of the stunning spots awaiting exploration.
April: The Maldives As spring arrives, I head to the Maldives, a true surfer’s paradise with its crystal-clear waters and reef breaks. The Maldives is known for its picture-perfect waves and overwater bungalows, making it a dream destination for any surfer.
May: Lombok, Indonesia Indonesia’s Lombok is next on my list. With its world-class breaks like Desert Point and the infamous Balinese spot, Uluwatu, Lombok promises a memorable surf adventure.
June: Costa Rica Summer in Costa Rica brings warm waters and consistent waves. I’ll explore the Pacific Coast and surf at iconic spots like Tamarindo and Playa Hermosa, while immersing myself in the country’s rich biodiversity.
July: Indonesia – Bali and the Mentawais I return to Indonesia, exploring the breathtaking beauty of Bali and the Mentawai Islands. Here, the combination of world-class waves and vibrant local culture makes for an unforgettable experience.
August: Fiji – Mamanucas Islands My journey takes me to the Mamanucas Islands in Fiji, a tropical paradise with reef breaks and crystal-clear waters. Surfing in this Pacific paradise is a true highlight of my adventure.
September: Samoa Samoa is my next destination, offering a more remote and less crowded surf experience. Its consistent waves and pristine beaches provide an idyllic setting for a surf adventure.
October: Philippines I’ll conclude my incredible year-long journey in the Philippines, where picturesque beaches, warm waters, and consistent surf make it a fitting end to my odyssey. I’ll visit Siargao and explore the breathtaking beauty of the archipelago’s islands.
