Hey there, my travel-loving friend! If you’re planning a trip to Australia, then you simply can’t miss out on the beautiful state of Queensland. This state is jam-packed with breathtaking natural beauty, ranging from ancient rainforests to sandy beaches and so much more. The best part? There are plenty of national parks for you to explore, which means you can experience some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes on the planet! Let me take you on the best hikes I found between Brisbane and Cairns…

First on my list of must-see national parks in Queensland is Lamington National Park. It’s just a short drive from Brisbane and it offers some of the most stunning rainforest scenery in the state. I especially enjoyed the panoramic views of the Gold Coast hinterland and the lush, green forests teeming with wildlife. As a nature lover like me, you simply cannot afford to miss Lamington National Park.

Another park that’s definitely worth a visit is Springbrook National Park. It’s located near Lamington and it’s home to some of the oldest living organisms on earth – the Antarctic Beech Trees for example. These towering giants are truly a sight to behold, and they’re just one of the many reasons why Springbrook is such a special place. My eyes are kept peeled for wallabies, echidnas, and all sorts of birds while I’m there – a truly magical experience!

If you want to experience a natural wonder in all its glory, then you absolutely must head to Daintree National Park. This ancient rainforest is one of the oldest in the world, and it’s home to a mind-boggling array of wildlife. Crocodiles, cassowaries, and more bird species than you can count all call this park home. And with gorgeous beaches like Cape Tribulation, it’s no wonder that Daintree is one of the most popular national parks in Australia.

If you are more the adventurous type and if you are really up for a challenge, then I highly recommend taking on the Misty Mountains hiking trail in the Atherton Tablelands. This trail takes me through rainforests, open woodlands, and rocky outcrops, offering stunning views all along the way. And when I  finally reach the top, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Trust me, the effort is definitely worth it.

Last but not least, I have to give a shoutout to Girringun National Park. This park is home to Wallaman Falls, the highest single-drop waterfall in Australia. And let me tell you, this waterfall is a sight to behold. Whether you’re a photographer, a nature lover, or just someone who appreciates a good view, you simply can’t miss Wallaman Falls.

Of course, there are plenty of other national parks in Queensland that are worth exploring. No matter which ones you decide to visit, I bet you’re guaranteed to be blown away by the natural beauty on display. So what are you waiting for? Book your trip to Queensland today and get ready to experience some of the most incredible landscapes on earth!
